Welcome to Restaurant ŠURC!

We are located in the village of Rateče – Planica, near the tri-border area of Austria, Italy, and Slovenia. Restaurant ŠURC is a charming, family-run restaurant with nearly 50 years of tradition, where you can still feel the spirit of times past and enjoy unspoiled nature.

What adds a special warmth is the fact that our restaurant is our life. It is a family endeavor, built on the passion and dedication of ordinary people – and that’s exactly what gives our place its homely feel. We simply live what we love. We offer space for both large and small gatherings: our cozy rustic interior accommodates up to 70 guests, while the terrace seats up to 60. We are happy to organize both intimate and larger events to celebrate your special moments!

Excellent food, very pleasant homely atmosphere! A salad bar where everyone can find a salad for themselves. Excellent fried chicken! We love coming back here, we always leave satisfied! I recommend it!

Top quality food, especially the fried chicken, portions for 1.5 adults, they have PVC containers to take with you. Service, friendliness and helpfulness at the highest level. I've been going here for 4 years and I'm still more than satisfied.
